나는 숨기고 보여주고 싶지 않은 마음과 꺼내서 떠들고 싶은 상반된 마음 사이에서 방황한다.
이성이 먼저 그림을 시작하면 느리고 힘겹다. 잘 모르는 것을 아는 체 하느라 바쁘다.
끝나면 눌려 있던 감정이 다른 관점으로 이야기를 시작한다.
Artist’s Note
I wander between two conflicting desires — the urge to hide what I don’t want to show, and the urge to bring it out and speak it aloud.
When reason leads the painting, the process becomes slow and heavy. I get busy pretending to know what I don’t. When the work is done, the emotions that had been suppressed begin to speak again, from a different point of view.
